Bride & Groom Face Masks

Jannia Palmer • Aug 10, 2020

The world we live in today has come to a new normal, where face masks have become
mandatory in almost every state. If you are planning a wedding in the midst of this
chaos, or your wedding was planned and dated to take place during COVID, you have
probably encountered a higher level of stress than necessary. One of the most difficult
parts of living through COVID-19, most people would agree, are wearing face masks.
Although this can be frustrating, when life gives us lemons, oftentimes the only choice
we have is to make lemonade.

Color Coded Face Masks

If you have decided to move forward with having your wedding during COVID,
then most of your guests will probably be wearing a face mask. If you have limited your
attendees down to just a few, the best man, and maid of honor then you would want to
make your color recommendations clear if you are holding a standard. Not to state the
obvious but we have all seen some daring face masks. They can range from skeleton
styles, to bright yellow smiley faces. We should be grateful for the fun that people have
created from this disaster but if you are interested in keeping your wedding formal you
should make a small disclosure concerning the style of face masks you prefer your
guest to wear. A nice way to make them aware of this is through the invitations that you
will send out, or through an email announcement.

Matching Masks

Most traditional wedding colors for the bride and groom are black and white. This
color code would be very simple and easy to match masks when searching for them.
There are many stores who are now offering these kinds of accessories, some of their
material is made of silk or satin to appear more formal. If you want your masks to be
more stylish there are some masks that come decorated with words identifying them as
the groom's mask or the brides. If the color of your tux or gown is going to be outside of
the traditional wedding color scheme, fear not! Almost everything these days are
customizable to fit your situation. Simply search for a store that can customize face

masks to match your desired material and color. Who knew that getting married in face
masks could be so convenient!

Keep The Masks!

Your wedding face masks are just as memorable as your wedding day, if you are
keeping your gown and tux keep your masks! This will serve as a great story telling
moment for your children and their families in the future. It would probably be a good
idea to buy your mask washable, so that you can store them after your wedding. It's
truly difficult to pull off your special day in a face covering, but if you can make the most
of it and have a little fun it's worth saving the trophy.
